I have been here the whole time.

I have watched you at your best.

I have witnessed you at  your worst.

I love you at your best.

I adore you at your worst.

What is it about this society? Why is the bar always exactly the same? It is so mind-numbing, so cliché. To my dyslexic boy, “they” know nothing. To my gifted and talented girl, “they” know even less.

fail-4

You are none of the things they say about you.

Your identity is off the charts of man’s understanding.

The lie that you “must” do it this way or that is not an aged old teaching. In fact, here in the good ole’ US of A the measure of what is success and what is failure is rather fresh. Well, in comparison to cave men and Roman scholars, the United States routine of accomplishment is brand new.

You and your future are beyond that narrowminded timeline.

You and your future are destined for eternity.

You will screw up.

You will fall down.

You will soar.

You will sprint.

You will trip and fall.

And if your father and I taught you anything … get back up.

Dust off, dry your eyes and try again.

Or try something else, something ridiculous, or better yet impossible.

Be that person, the one that no one believes can or will succeed.

Just don’t stay down.

Failure is the fruit of trying.

It is more than okay.

You are so brave. I am so proud. Your father is delighted.

You are better off having tried – and you rocked the endeavor.

The world will tell you that failing is not an option, that you are somehow better if you chant your resilience.

Don’t believe “them.”

[Tweet “Be that person, the one that no one believes can or will succeed. #Sundayblogshare”]

I beg you to  believe in the Inheritance. I implore you, take off your funeral clothes and walk boldly into the banquet hall.  You are invited to partake in the feast.  The abundance was bought for you on the Cross.  The fallacy is that you are perfected by the World’s standards.  That is a lie. You are completed by the Blood of Jesus who was accepted as unblemished – flawless.

The work is done.

The Blood worked.

Jesus won.

charlie-3And in doing so, He cleared the way – He handed you the keys – He brought you into the throne room of the God of all.  You are righteous because you believe.

You cannot fail the commissioning.

Your knees might wobble, your faith might shake, but He is mighty to save. He will not move from you, only toward you.

Never again will He see you fail. Again I say, the blood worked. He sees only perfection.

[Tweet “Never again will He see you fail, the blood worked He sees only perfection.”]

Unfortunately, there are jackasses, naysayers, and small minded folks that will try and drag you down.  They’ll hold you to a standard of abilities that are named by letters, numbers, and loud accolades. There will be others who look past you, worse – some will look through you, use them as a stepping stone to further overcome that which had the appearance of inadequate but was in fact, exponential evolution.

of-these-thingsA good gardener pulls the heads off the roses. They grow back stronger, fuller and more brilliant than before.

We’d rather you try; borrow, climb, cry, bleed from the thorns, run through the high grass, than tip-toe carefully through tulips. Tulips are seasonal, fragile, and pose no threat. He died that you might live and live ABUNDANTLY.

There is nothing to be afraid of; not of the unknown, not of the dark, and undoubtedly, fear not the light. Exposing your failures stinks, but what is brought into the light cannot be brought back into the blackness.

Righteousness.

Believe you are righteous.

Believe you are worthy.

Believe you are forgiven.

Walk in the truth of the success of the redeemed, loved, and died for… you have overcome because He has overcome.

[Tweet “you have overcome because He has overcome.”]

Everything is opposite of how it appears.

Fail.

of-these-things-4Go on, fail in the full understanding,  you have already succeeded.

I cannot stop smiling, a lump is rising in my throat. My heart is full of pride.

You are the most extraordinary failures I have ever known, I thank God that He died for you when you were still a fiasco so that you can freely walk in the sovereignty of success.

Failure is an excellent option. Grace is the consequence. Eternity is the prize.

Jesus is the answer.

Love already won.

So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God. Romans 7:4
